Frequently Asked Questions
Got questions? Find out the answers to the questions we hear most commonly. Hopefully they can give you a quick, easy answer!
How long will a septic system installation take?
This varies depending on the type of septic system you choose and the land that the system is being built on, but on average the pre-installation takes roughly 3-9 weeks between site evaluation & permits, soil testing & design and approval. The installation itself only takes around 7 days on average (this fluctuates anywhere from 4-10 days). So, the entire project takes anywhere from 4-11 weeks depending on the type, size and complexity of the septic system installation.
Does Mid Valley do free Quotes?
Mid Valley will happily provide a free comparative quote if all the design process and sign off is already complete, if this is not; the design and consultation will come at a standard upfront fee, to design and consult on the install and allow the permit to be applied for, we would then provide an upfront quote for the install.
How much does a septic system cost to install?
Similarly, this varies depending on the type, size and complexity of the project. However, a rough average would be between $10-20,000 AUD. This can be higher for more complex systems and additional costs can come into play, such as permits and soil preparation.
Do I need a permit to install a septic system?
Yes, you will need a permit to install any type of septic system. It typically takes 1-4 weeks to obtain this permit, which plays a role in the timeframe it takes for the pre-project planning and preparation.
